Chicago Cutlery has the most practical beginnings. By the 1930s Chicago was the Midwestern railroad hub and the center of the meat packing industry for the entire continental USA, employing thousands of people to cut and trim the steaks, poultry and bacon that fed America. The demand for reliable, efficient and affordable cutlery was enormous.

Chicago Cutlery stepped up to the challenge and put together the materiel and manufacturing know-how to produce the mountains of knives that powered an entire industry for decades. Chicago Cutlery entered the consumer kitchenware market in 1969 and has been earning “Best Buy” awards ever since.
